The FRP cooling tower at the Shanghai Laogang Renewable Energy Utilization Center Phase II Project, designed by SPX Company, incorporates SPARE company's FRP materials for enhanced performance. With a mechanical ventilation mist elimination design, it efficiently handles 4000m3/h of cooling water per tower, totaling 40000m3/h. The tower group, arranged in a single line on the southwest side, consists of two sets of five towers each, with a shared circulating water pump room nearby. Each tower, utilizing SPARE's pultruded FRP frame structure, stands at 21.2 meters tall and 21.1 meters wide, offering both strength and lightweight characteristics, with over 400 tons of FRP pultruded profiles used in total.

The Qingdao Golden Land Bay project's connecting corridor features 800*300 large rectangular tubes from Spare. Pultruded and formed, each profile weighs 33 kg per meter and requires over 1,700 yarns for production. Despite its size, the corridor is 80% lighter than a steel structure of the same size, facilitating easy installation and construction. The technically challenging production process required Spare to create a specialized mold for pultrusion molding. Effortlessly lifted into place with just a wheel and axle, it saves time and effort on-site.

Concrete, a cornerstone of construction, is often reinforced with steel rebar to combat its brittleness and limited tensile strength. However, steel rebar is prone to corrosion, leading to costly maintenance and potential structural failures. Enter fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) rebar, a non-corrosive alternative ideal for long-term use in challenging environments like bridges, seawalls, and wastewater plants. FRP rebar offers higher tensile strength (1.5 to 2 times that of steel), better fatigue resistance, and is significantly lighter, easing transportation and installation.
