The FRP cooling tower at the Shanghai Laogang Renewable Energy Utilization Center Phase II Project, designed by SPX Company, incorporates SPARE company's FRP materials for enhanced performance. With a mechanical ventilation mist elimination design, it efficiently handles 4000m3/h of cooling water per tower, totaling 40000m3/h. The tower group, arranged in a single line on the southwest side, consists of two sets of five towers each, with a shared circulating water pump room nearby. Each tower, utilizing SPARE's pultruded FRP frame structure, stands at 21.2 meters tall and 21.1 meters wide, offering both strength and lightweight characteristics, with over 400 tons of FRP pultruded profiles used in total.

As the world turns its attention to Paris for the 2024 Olympics, we reflect on our own remarkable journey in the FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) industry. Although our company is not directly involved in the Olympic Games, we are excited to see the global spotlight shine on France once again, just as it did last year during our participation in the French JEC Exhibition.

On October 28, we conducted a load-bearing test on our Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) pallets, placing 39 scales of 20KG each on the pallet for a total weight of 780KG, significantly above the original design load of 500KG. After 24 hours under static load, the FRP pallet showed remarkable resilience and stability, validating its suitability for high-load environments.

Under the strong impetus of the policy, FRP industry is standing in the new wind mouth of rapid development. Made in China 2025" and "14th Five-Year Plan" will be the new material industry as a key development object, glass fibre as a key new material, is included in the national key support areas, ushered in an unprecedented development opportunities.

In addition, FRP rectangles are fatigue-resistant and can withstand repetitive cyclic loads; have high design flexibility and can be customised according to specific requirements; have good electrical insulation and are commonly used in electrical enclosures; have good thermal insulation, which helps to improve energy efficiency; are non-magnetic, which plays an important role in the fields of medical equipment and electronic products; and are weather-resistant, which can be subjected to ultraviolet radiation, humidity and temperature changes in the long term.

The story of FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Polymer) began as early as 3400 BC. The ancient Mesopotamians made plywood by gluing wooden strips at different angles, and the ancient Chinese used straw mixed with clay to build houses. These were all early practices of natural composite materials. The composite bows of Mongol warriors in the 12th century AD were even more exemplary. The combination of bamboo cores, ox horns and rosin created a powerful weapon with a range of nearly 500 yards, and its strength was comparable to modern products.
