On 22 October, the Spare Composite factory in Yizheng received clients from the Netherlands. The Dutch clients had earlier placed orders for FRP window frame profiles, and travelled to the factory for an on-site look at pultrusion production, quality control and order scheduling. Walking through the workshop gave the overseas clients a direct view of how FRP window frame profiles are made. After the tour, the clients also reviewed the factory certification documents and product inspection records.
The general manager of Spare Composite, together with the production and foreign trade team, accompanied the Dutch clients throughout the visit. The general manager introduced how FRP window frame profiles are organized in production, quality control and order delivery, and staff at each post talked with clients about profile specifications and application scenarios.
FRP window frame profiles were the focus of the visit. FRP window frame profiles are produced in batches on the pultrusion line according to orders, with production and inspection procedures carried out under defined routines.
FRP window frame profiles are made by pultrusion, using glass fibre and resin as main raw materials, and cross-sections are customised to door and window systems, with hardware used for frame assembly. FRP window frames resist moisture and provide good insulation, and applications in the European door and window market keep growing.
The client raised requirements on dimensional accuracy, surface quality and colour consistency of window frame profiles, and the factory checked every point accordingly. Both sides exchanged views on specification confirmation, quality requirements and follow-up order arrangements for FRP window frame profiles. A sample confirmation schedule was agreed, and delivery and packaging arrangements for coming batches will move forward based on the sample confirmation result.
Spare Composite is one of the participating drafting units of the national standard GB/T 31539-2015, Pultruded Fibre Reinforced Polymer Composites for Structures. The standard defines raw materials, appearance, dimension deviation, mechanical properties and test methods for pultruded profiles, so dimensional tolerances, resin systems and test methods of FRP window frame profiles all follow the standard.
Overseas clients can verify parameters directly against the standard during selection and acceptance, reducing back-and-forth communication.
The Spare Composite factory holds ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system certifications. The three systems cover every stage of FRP window frame profiles, from raw material purchase, production to final inspection, with each operation running under documented processes.
The factory is audited by certification bodies every year, keeping system documents and batch records traceable for the overseas client to review at acceptance.
An existing client returning to the factory for an on-site look is the most direct recognition of FRP window frame profile quality. Spare Composite keeps the factory open to clients worldwide; FRP pultrusion lines and quality control procedures are ready for on-site review, and more clients are welcome to visit the workshop.
