Last week our team had the privilege of participating in China Composites Expo 2026 in Shanghai — and it was an experience worth sharing.

China Composites Expo is one of the most significant events in the global composites industry — bringing together manufacturers, engineers, researchers and procurement professionals from across the world under one roof.
For Nanjing Spare New Materials this was more than an exhibition. It was an opportunity to connect face to face with clients, partners and industry peers — to have the kind of conversations that simply do not happen over email.
Three days. Hundreds of conversations.And a very clear signal about where the composites industry is heading.

WHAT WE PRESENTED

At our booth we showcased our full range of pultruded FRP composite products including structural profiles, cable management systems, ladder cable trays, grating and walkway systems, window and door profiles and custom engineered solutions.
Visitors were particularly interested in our work across several sectors:
→ Energy and power infrastructure
→ Offshore and marine applications
→ Construction and passive housing
→ Water treatment and sewage systems
→ Automotive and EV battery components
We also demonstrated our manufacturing capability — 50+ pultrusion lines, 47,000 m² of production area, over 2,000 molds in stock and full CNC machining and post-processing capability.

THE CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTERED

What stood out most was not the number of visitors — it was the quality of the discussions.
Engineers asked detailed technical questions about resin systems, fiber architecture and mechanical performance in specific environments.
Procurement professionals wanted to understand supply chain reliability, lead times, quality certification and our export experience.
Project developers were exploring FRP as a sustainable alternative to steel and aluminum for long-life infrastructure — driven by lifecycle cost analysis and ESG commitments.
These are exactly the conversations we came to have.

INDUSTRY DISCUSSIONS

Beyond our booth we actively participated in industry discussions throughout the three days.
Key themes that emerged consistently:
Sustainability and carbon footprint reduction are now primary drivers in material specification decisions — not just secondary considerations.
The demand for custom engineered FRP solutions is growing significantly across energy, automotive and construction sectors.
Supply chain localization and direct manufacturer relationships are increasingly valued by international buyers seeking reliability and transparency.
FRP adoption in building and construction — particularly for passive house window profiles and structural components — is accelerating in markets with strong energy efficiency regulations.
These trends align closely with what we are seeing in our own order pipeline and client conversations across Russia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia.

China Composites Expo 2026 reinforced something we have believed for 30 years:
The composites industry is not a niche market anymore.
It is a mainstream infrastructure material category — and the engineers and procurement teams who understand this early are the ones building better, more durable and more cost-effective assets for their organizations.
